Consequences of Untreated Opioid Dependence

I am still surprised by the numbers, each time a community across the country writes a news story about opioid dependence and heroin addiction.  I have been trying to decide how to make the point, that there is in fact a problem here— I considered simply listing the articles, one by one, and letting them add up.  That would give me tons of content, but I doubt people would be all that interested in ‘yesterday’s news.’

So instead, I will run a feed of the daily news stories from across the country.  Understand that this feed is CURRENT– i.e. these are only the stories that are happening now, or in the past few days.  Similar stories have been published daily for months and years– and unfortunately, similar stories will continue to appear going forward.  I’ll write a post in the next few days of what I think should be done, to try to reduce the epidemic we are facing.
